Dinner at Cache

It was a perfect fall night in Arkansas. I had been downtown much of the day and finally finished everything up around 6:00pm. The doors were opened to the dining room at Cache Restaurant, and a glass of chenin blanc was calling my name. All right, perfect wine, you convinced me to stay. I enjoyed the crisp and fruity flavors of this new-to-me wine. Clint was my server and I asked, "What do you have tonight that's vegetarian?" I didn't want anything heavy. He told me about the beet salad that had pistachios, green apple and arugula. It was perfection. It was exactly what that glass of wine needed to complement the flavors. That's all I ate for dinner (I had a sizable lunch), and as an intermittent faster, I closed my "feasting window" at 6:30pm. Want a good vegetarian or vegan meal? They have great choices at Cache. Same with gluten-free options. And of course, if you have a hankering for a huge steak or tender veal, they have that, too. Next time, I'll go with a heavier option. I'll let you know what I think.
